How can i make new clothes look worn, tatty & and aged? like when you buy them from shops like a&f?

Why someone wants to spend all that money on new clothes and do stuff to them to make them look old is beyond me. just go to a vintage shop and get the same clothes that already are worn and aged and pay a lot less. simple! !
