I am wanting a gown/long dress made for me for my graduation ball but as a student my budget has to be under £100 if possible... obviously a dressmaker is out of the question as it would be expensive but is there any fashion students or graduates out there who is looking to build up their portfolio? or do you know anyone who is willing to carry out this work? i already have a specific idea about how i want the dress to look like, i just want someone to make this come true! i am in the north east of england, but am willing to let someone from elsewhere in the uk do it for me

I am not sure that £100 would put a dressmaker out of the question, but it depends on how involved your specific design is. there were plenty of very smart full length gowns in the shops at christmas under this price (tkmaxx had lots for £35 and £45), and of course ebay is another useful option. maybe you could get something from one of these sources, then have some adments &/or personalisation done?i like the sari idea as well, and if you are looking at asian fashions, you could also check out the various types of modern lengha outfit available these days.have a great night!!
