Answer
I have a bs in clothing design and textiles. when you graduate, you can get a job pretty much anywhere in the fashion industry, depending on what sort of emphasis you have in your schooling. mine was computer aided flat-pattern design. i have worked for a company that designed patterns on computers for small pattern companies (sportswear, historical, and equestrian wear), a non-profit organization designing a line of clothing for premature infants, and a maternity wear company. i currently design dance costumes. i also did a year of graduate work in functional apparel design. with that education, you can design things like space suits, uniforms, even odd things like car air bags (designed by one of my professors).
