A person i know has left their car in the posession of a garage for the past six months, this is because the work that needed to be done on it was to expensive. since this time the garage have been storing it and have tried to contact him several times ( he keeps ignoring calls) the car has no tax etc.. i wonder if it is poss for the garage t claim car in lieu of storage costs and would they be able to sell it without registration docs?

They would need to write to that person and state unless he removes the car and pay for the cost of the storage the car will be sold or scrapped in 14 days from the date on the letter.keep a copy and then it becomes legal..
