My son is interested in forensic science as a career, what subjects should he study at school?

At mo he is taking chemistry, physics, maths etc and going to take o grades later this school year but can change some of his subjects next year would it be advantageous if he took biology
Answer
Biology, physics, chemistry - at least for gcse, also at a level.a strong background in maths would also help, as it is a science and compliments physics. but english should not be ignored, communication is important.at degree level you should be looking at chemistry while taking modules in biology where you can. ask at your local police station, they will be able to put you in touch with people who can guide you and may even find you a route into the occupation of forensic scientist at a trainee level or something similar, expect at least degree level education with a high grade 2:1 or above to be taken through this route though, hope that helps.
