What adaptation would a squirrel need in order to survive on a island with?
flat land, few hills, soft dirt ,small bushes. fresh water is available and the island is guarded by coral reef. the only animals are the squirrel and fish in the water . it is for a science project.

Coral reef and fish. this means planckton. this means probably molluscs. the squirrel could collect littoral molluscs and crustacea. the squirrel could use its teeth to open the shells and is able to digest the contents. over geological time, the squirrel would probably evolve into an otter like creature.
