I bought a medion laptop in 2006 and have since bought two new ac adapters to charge it. but now the port used to charge the ac adapter has burnt out and snapped off. this was not due to rough use. i am not sure whether to fix it or buy a better brand laptop.

One that power pin goes, its had it. ive had this same problem. you can try to solder it but it never holds. i recommend either a toshiba or acer laptop.
