If both pivot lock are in place and one end has not
slipped out of the retainer, and the small ear pins are intact, you should be able to center it and give a sharp quick punch to lock it in. to make sure the pivots are in place, gently lift one with a pair of tweezers or toothpick and make sure the opposing sides come up in an x movement. the bases should not move from their positions. you have to have all 4 ear pins on the top of parts that lift up.
