I would kit out a van and sell , e
day items like bread milk etc etc, i thought this would be v nice
idea especially for pensioners.

an idea, (take it or leave it) but to get yourself set up as a trusted buissness how about hosting visits to retirment homes/community centers?
older people are often reserved about new faces, so going to these places (maby having a plentyfull supply of free tea?) would help your cause.
hand out leaflets to the staff and you should get some possitive responces.
