Is it possible alot of our understanding of science is wrong, as we have not yet discovered anomlies?
New theories and experiments have always come about "uncovering" new knowledge in science. but have you ever wondered that one day, we may carry out such an investigation that results in under-mining knowledge we have believed in for centuries?have you ever wondered if what we believe causes events, is actually incorrect and only fits to what we are aware of or have discovered?does anyone else agree with me that science is a wonder with blokey assumptions?
Answer
Yes, science is a wonder... with many assumptions. that is why there are no "facts" in science, only theories. our deepest believed scientific "truths" like gravity and the water cycle can still be demonstrated to be not accurate, if you can find a valid experiment that does this!our western culture has decided that we value emperically based information. that is why everyone wants "proof" and "evidence" before they believe anything. if you examine eastern cultures you will find that they are more spiritual and tend to place more value in ideas that we as a scientifically based culture would have trouble "prooving". our perception fits our reality. if our culture were to collectively decide that science as we know it today is inaccurate, then we would adopt a new set of measurements to quantify and explain our natural surroundings, and all of our current "truths" would change. there is a culture in the east that believes that the world is actually located on the back of a turtle. if this is what they believe, then this will determine their world view. our world view is simply made up of our desire to place our "faith" in scientific measurement.
