Redundancies in the scarborough health service?

In view of the massive redundancies being forecast by the scarborough primary health trust today - one third of their staff!! are they now going to do the decent thing and drop trying to make malton maternity hospital close its doors ? this was always a disgraceful move on the part of the trust - scarborough is too far away, as is york , from malton, for pregnant women to try to take a journey if they have started in labour. those of you who do not live in the north riding of yorkshire will not be aware that the majority of the a64 which goes between york, malton and scarborough is still in 2007 single carriageway. in the summer time it is full of traffic going to the coast and in the wintertime - sometimes too dangerous to travel with snow and ice, and yet this is a road that some faceless cost-cutting beaurocrats will send pregnant women on !!! they acceeded to a one month review two weeks ago, was this because of prior knowledge of todays events ? i think it was.
Answer
When ann organisation can lose a third of its staff and still operate it shows there is a hell of a lot of people in that organisation doing jack shit.go to your local hospital and watch the amount of employees wandering round with their finger up their ass and getting well paid for it.thats where nhs funds go
