Can anyone tell me what standard car speakers are the best for handling bass?
I asking because i need to buy a good set for my car, as the set that are in have had their better day!
Answer
Go see a specialist, you can increase bass reproduction by more than one method, simply replacing your standard speakers will improve little if they are fitted incorrectly, bass requires nice solid foundations, nice quality speakers and usually more powerful amps.subs are a nice cheap way of getting bass without spending hundreds on new and expensive speakers, and set up properly will enhance your sound than make it just loud and boomy.set your budget then speak to a nice reputable dealer, be wary of ones that expect you to pay for "the all singing all dancing ones", in my experience a nice set of £100 speakers fitted well will suffice any listner, expect to pay around 50-70 pounds to have them properly fitted, and an extra £30 for a little sound deadning mat, this will definately help smooth out the sound and get the best from your speakers.you can get nice sub/amp packages from around £250, again expect to pay around 50-70 for fitting.
