My wedding is still a long way off but i am starting to put together my plans. i am not willing to spend £1k on a dress i will only ever wear once and would really like to hire a dress for the big day. does anyone know any good bridal gown hire shops in the central belt (edinburgh/glasgow etc)? how much should i expect to pay to hire a gown? how soon in advance of the big day should i organise my dress? finally, have you ever hired a wedding dress? what was your experience? thanks in advance folks :o)

Hi, for what you will pay for the hire of a dress you can get one made. i bought mine through ebay custom made to my size and only cost £95. if you want i can let you see some pics. nice luck
