Is it possible to borrow more than £25k in unsecured loans from different banks?
I.e. get 25k from one bank, and then additional 10k from another or ask your bank for more than 25k

Not normally no.that is the reason why banks run credit checks, to see what else you hold out there.be careful, anyone might think your up to something.
