Does someone else think the new movie "doomsday" is a giant rip-off of the 80s movie "escape from illinois"? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/escape_from_new_york http://1.aamoviez.com/trailers/watch/3102-doomsday.html http://www.spike.com/video/2483010 a major populated area has been cut off and essentially turned into a giant prison and they send “the hero” in with a bunch of guns to kill numerous punk rock looking, car crashing, crazed maniacs to save the day. i am not saying its a bad idea - but i am damb sure the creators know this idea has been used several times before.

I have seen the trailer for doomsday and i agree with you. it seems similar to escape from ny. however i think doomsday looks better.
