What percentage of your salary goes into buying a car? ofcos no-one uses 50% of their salary on a car, thus what percentage do you or have you spent in buying a car? then go on to my first question found under my profile name which is a fun question as i hope the average percentage of all the answers to this question can be used to actually help answer that questions. thanks

I am not stating my salary... but i pay £110 in to a car saving account each month. that money covers annual car insurance, car tax, mot, servicing, consumbles (like new tyres), unexpected repairs... after 10 years it also leaves me with a chunk of capital towards a new car. my current car (bought new) is 5 years old and i now have £3700 spare leftover in my car account.
