How do i
haggle a car dealer!!?
I really want to
buy a rover 216 1.6 from a car dealer at £1.000 however he wants £1,495 for it. i looked up the value of the car on various car website and all of them say the car is worth only £1,000. i told him the value and made him my offer, but he turned it down, saying he believes he will get the asking price!
what do you think i can say or do to sway his mind?

Return in one week and make an offer of £950 assuming the car remains unsold. take at least 15minutes to inspect the car, run the engine and then suggest it needs a new set of tyres, probably a new battery and a full service. point out any dents and defects. emphasis the road tax has expired and you expect a full mot.
repeat the viewing a week later but drop the price to £925
