In th uk how much would it cost from driving lessons to eventually having an insured car ?

Not something expensive, just something half decent that will be reliable. any advice for somebody starting driving lessons/car searching etc ?

18 quid a lesson x 20 £360 cheap car x 1 £500 first insurance (3rd prty) £700 tax £ 140 total 1700. ouch.
