I herd mechanics can sculpt custum body parts for cars. how do ya do it and were do ya get the stuff to do it.

Start with a piece of syrofoam,the blue high density type is best.shape it with 36 grit sandpaper,files grinders or whatever works for you.brush on a couple thick coats of shellac or latex paint.when that dries cover the form with fiberglass cloth and soak it in resin,repeat.then sand and grind it to a close image of your intended form.cover it with smooth coats of body filler and finish sand,prime ,and paint. the foam can also be glued to a body panel with liquid nails and then formed in to match. foam:lumber yard fiberglass supplies:auto parts store.
