Car problems - can anyone
help?
Over the last 2 days my seat ibiza 1.6 (6 years old, 94000 km on the clock) has intermitently shuddered whilst driving, it lasts for a split second when it happens and it feels like the car wants to stop. i have had a faint clunking under the car for some months but only when i start my journeys and recently, the engine has also has not
exactly purred like a kitten - whilst sitting idle, the rev meter goes from 10 down to 5 or 6 and back again (i dont know a great deal about cars as you can probably tell). my engine oil is checked regularly although i have not checked or changed my gearbox oil/fluid or whatever at all. i will be taking it to agarage but wondered if someone had any idea what the problem might be and/or how much i can expect to pay at a garage to have this looked at? thanks and apologies if i have used bad terminology and for my embarrasing lack of car knowledge!
