Sexual health outreach project worker?

Hey, does anyone know how i can get into doing this? what qualifications are needed? do i need to go to college ot university to stufy this? thank you x well i am currently at sixth form so i could ask my careers advisor. it involves one to one meetings with any young person needing support, confidential advice on sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy and contraception. also pregnany testing, emergency contraception, advice, sti tests and just genera support on all health issues

These types of jobs are often advertised in the guardian on a wednesday, or look at their jobs website. i would imagine that workers in this field would need to have some health or social work background, but more important would be the ability to engage with the particular client group the project is aiming to reach, eg young people, bme groups. if you see such a job advertised, send for an application pack and look at the person spec which will show what they are looking for.
