Failed first year uni?
Does anyone know the financial implications of failing the first year at uni. do you get funding again as in maintenance payments, grants, loans etc from the student loans company?
Answer
It depends on the policies at your university. typically, students who fail their first year are placed on probation until they can improve their gpa. at our university we have a committee made up of staff and faculty members who review requests for financial aid from students on academic probation. we review each case and determine if that student is worthy of another chance at receiving financial aid. i recommend that you talk with your financial aid department and ask them what their policies are and what you may need to do in order to secure funding for a second year. you may also wanna reflect on why you failed your first year and what you can do differently to prevent from failing a second year.nice luck
