Tesco credit card security?

I found a tesco credit card in the street so i phoned the number on the back of the card to report it.i got through to an automated service which asked me to enter the card number, so i did. then it asked me to enter the expiry date ,so i did. then it asked me to enter my birth date, so thinking that if i put in any obviously wrong date it would put me through to a person , i entered my 9 year old daughters birth date. it then told me the balance on the card, the remaining credit available and then realed off "my" last transactions until i cleared down.not very high security is it tesco?.. but as they say "every little helps".
Answer
That does not surprise me. tesco does not use their chip and pin in the correct bloke ner. chip and pin was designed to cut out the assistant swiping the credit or debit card (as this is when the card is copied). however, the way they have their chip and pin programmed the assistant still has to swipe the card at the till. this is wrong and i have written to tesco head office but was told they have no plans to change the way they do it. i have therefore voted with my feet and shop where they use chip and pin correctly.
