If i have a digi box to view dtv on my anolog tv will i need a dtv converter when the anolog signal stops?
I have been searching a few sites saying that if you dont have a digital tuner built into the tv, or have a pay subscription tv service such as sky then you will need a digital tv converter when they turn the anolog transmission off, although my tv is a new lcd it does not have the digital tuner built in and i watch digital tv via a digi box, i cant find a clear statement anywhere that says if you already have a digi box you will be fine as it already converts the signal to anolog. i did how ever find a statement saying a digital tuner and a converter are 2 different things which has made me wonder. in my opinion surely if i recieve a digital transmission now i must still recieve one after anolog is fased out but again there is no definative answer to this anywhere. sorry i have dragged the question out but i thought it best to put as much info into it as possiblei no freeview is digital, think thats pretty self explanatory, but the problem is from what iv red, the digital freeview box isnt actually a converter and a converter will be needed to use a non digital tv with a digibox but all the "get ready for analog switch off" sites make ething vague, i suppose its because none of them no there selves whats what
