Dell laptop battery screwing around?
Greetings all you wonderful fuzzy people out there in internet land!i have a problem with my dell inspiron 1501 laptop. i have had it for over a year with no problems. until now. at startup it displays a message about the battery being unrecognisable. it works okay, it charges okay but there is something wrong with it. i checked the dell website and my battery is not listed as one of the batteries that had to be recalled.any ideas?

If you use it a lot as a laptop, (not plugged into the mains), 18 months for a battery is nice going.old age is creeping in.if it is needing less time between charges that is the problem, so monitor your charge meter.laptop replacement parts are a rip off; so think about a new machine.
