because you are
looking at a low definition picture on a high definition tv set.....

body complains about low def signal quality...
try a dvd...it is
still low def, but certainly better.
then step up to a hi def picture using a cable box or satellite box if that is
what you presently use.
or you can hook up a hi definition terrestrial tuner to your tv and get hi definition transmissions.....
right now these tvs have to operate on both types of signals -- low def and hi def, and until they shut down all the old signals, the tv stations will still use the older signal along with the newer signal...that is
to keep the public happy.
but they would love to switch to hi def completely...but it takes money to do so. your money.....
