Bandwidth and upgrading broadband?
I recently received an email from my broadband provide telling me that my broadband had been upgraded from 1mb to 2mb 100% free. wat is bandwidth? and y has the small logo in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen not incresed to 200.0mbps?

200mbps broadband is fast indeed. i have 10mbps, and that is mega fast. i think you mean 2.0mbps?it may take time for your internet provider to actually change your line over, it isnt an instant thing.think of bandwidth like a road - the wider, or bigger, it is, the more traffic can pass through it. the higher the number of mbps your broadband bandwidth is, the more data can be transferred in a second. a 2mb file therefore, on your 2mb line, would theortically* transfer in 1 second. on the 1mb line, it would theoretically* take 2 seconds.*you are unlikely to ever get this speed, this is a maximum bandwidth of your line, and depends on many factors. you will see a performance increase if you use the internet a lot for downloading or viewing images.
