I have recently got broadband (512) and assume i ahve it correctly set up, but there is a problem with the phone. whenever the computer is switched on, the phone is unusable, as there is a great deal on static on the line, which disappears when the pc is off. have i set up my broadband wrong? we had dial up before so i disconnected that and connected up the filters and modem. help!

I also had this trouble wen i 1st got bt total broadband u need to see if your adsl splitter plug is defective if u get same probs then get bt to check your phone line for any faults in both net side and call side if they phone u bck and say e thing is ok from their exchange up to your outside main line then disconnect sky and all your extention lines one by one ( make sure all extentions and sky phone line goes through a splitter aswell) if tht dont solve your prob then try a diff land line phone for me it turned out there was a problem with my actual landline phones since i got new ones i never had any problems
