They are usually only insured if you pay the extra. but i have not found it worth the money. my daughter broke her phone which i had kept insured for the 14 months she had it but it was going to cost a lot to send it back and they would only give me the same phone which was out of date and cheaper to just buy. i decided to get her a new phone contract and did not insure it, she lost it the first time she used it and i was able through three to buy her a new one again for under £50..which was much cheaper over all..
