I was running a small mobile phone business, where i was selling mobiles for all networks. due to personal reasons i have closed the business 7 months ago, i have heard that i can sell my database? i have £80,000 records. how do i go about selling it? and are there any laws that would come into place for data protection?well what i was thinking of doing is selling the base but without any customer details eg- no name or address the mobile numbers and the tariff details (which i have chked i can do) so the company who would buy off me will need to contact customers and with the cusotmers consent they can carry on the business. how should i advertise or approch companys so sell them my database? any ideas? anyone out in the mobile industry?

You can only sell the information if you have consent of the people in the database.. otherwise u violate data protection laws of 1984..data can only be kept with the concent of the individualdata can only be used for business purposesdata can only be kept for as long as is needed..etc etc
