Bt yahoo broadband - customer service problems help?

I have recently moved house and it k 7 weeks for bt to re-connect me to broadband. i must have spent over 20 hours on the phone being passed form pillar to post. no one could help. a five page letter to their customer services department sent at the beginning of december has not even been acknowledged let alone answered. has somebody got any ideas how to resolve?
