I am running my digital tv through my computer and it seems to loud even though it is specifically built for tv and media etc.

All this depends on the amount of money you have to spend. 1) hard disk enclosures, this will stope the hard disk noise and vibrations but the cheaper ones will make your hard drive get hotter, so its better to spend your money on a decent one. 2) rubber mounging feet on your bottom of your case will help stop vibration noise of your case. 3) the power supply have fans in, so make sure you get a decent one, you can get fanless ones. 4) change your case fans, a bigger slower one will provide better cooling, and the smaller ones also are r 5) water cooling will help but this can be pricey there was an article in the july edition of pcw on slighling a computer
