3g stands for 3rd generation technology for mobile communication.
but what does it mean - what is 3rd generation ??
1. first generation:- plain old mobile phone for voice communication. first generation phones used analog system. voice quality is ok. phones are big.
2. second generation:- still voice only phones but digital system is used. voice quality is better. phones are small.
3. 2+ generation:- voice and data availability i.e. pics
, emails available on the cell phone.
4. 3rd generation:- broadband i.e. high speed internet on the cell phone, voice, multimedia (mms) and seamless integration of voice and data services. you can use data services while talking on the phone including multimedia file sharing, instant messages -
