How can i watch 1 programme and record another on my dvd recorder?
Have just set up my new sony lcd tv and connected to sony dvd recorder, note; with component leads not scart! its all set up and i do get dvd playback signal but only seem to be able record annalogue programmes. i really want to
watch a digital programme and also record a digital programme. how? should mention that the digital source is tv integrated freeview. thanks.

You usually need dual tuners for this - so you can record one channel and watch another. dual channel dvd recorders if available will be much more expensive than single channel recorders. to record digital you must select the correct input source. your remote should have a button, something like input select etc. click on the button and you will flick through line 1/l1, l2, l3 etc. all these sources will show up on the av channel of your sony tv.
