I’m based in the uk and planning on doing regular work for a company based in the united arab emirates. they wanna pay me in local currency. what would be the easiest and/or cheapest payment method? local cheques are out of the question because the bank charges huge fees for converting and they take months to go through. but what about electronic bank transfer or others like western union etc? do you know from experience? if so i would appreciate your advice. many thanks.

They best way is wire tranfert.if in dubaiuse the national bank of dubaithey charge arround 45 dirhams per transferif in abu dhabiuse abu dhabi national bank they charge arround 40 dirhams oer transfertthe charge rate is not including the ammount that you will be charged in the uk.wire transfert is way better than western union because it goes directly to your bank account.in the uae all bank have internet banking sow you can transfert money from your home or office and then you can chek you uk account online to see if the money is their it usually takes arround 4-5 days excluding week end.
