Is it best to bank with a high street bank?

not rich, i get paid less than 1500 a month, i pay my bills and spend my money, and then wait for payday! that is

I guess its horses for courses , but personally i would prefer to bank with a high street bank, because at least then if there was a problem you could go in and see them personally instead of having to deal with a faceless telephone operator.
