Are bonds nice value right now , i have one 7yrs old and the profit falls short of my expectations. should i get out or hang on, considering the way the market reacts to middle east problems.

1) the middle east problems are unlikely to have a material impact on the value of your investment. 2) it depends on the bond you bought and how much you bought it for - you will have locked in to a yield at the time of purchase and you must decide whether this is good or not. if it is acceptable, you might want to sit on them to maturity. 3) macroeconomic conditions and relative value of other investments will have more of an impact on the price of a bond than any other. hence, increasing interest rates will usually depress the value of an investment.
