Will a broadband modem function as a modem for a 56k dial-up?

Anyone gave me a broadband modem, can i use this for 56 k dial-up connection?
Answer
No. its blokeufactured to detect dsl. for dsl you dont dial any access #, on the other side you have to dial access # in order to connect to dialup internet.
