My broadband modem box thingy has another ethernet input thing i think. so do i still need a router?
I want to
connect an xbox 360 to the internet, wireless routers are about £50 sooo... would it be possible to just connect an ethernet cable directly into the back of my broadband modem thingy? or do i need a router to make it work?
Answer
Wireless routers are cheaper then £50. you can pick up a decent linksys router on ebay for £20. i got a peak wirless router for £20. you can connect your ethernet to the xbox 360 but if you wanted to use your coputer you would need to disconnect it and ghange it. you could also get a cross over cable to use your pc as a router.
