Do job applications ask for bank details?
I applied for a job with a company called powergirls ltd and in the form they sent it asked for bank details? this application has to be sent through mail. is it safe to give out bank details? thanks.

As a recruiter - we would only request bank details from the person we appointed once they had taken up the post.if you are in the uk, it is illegal for them to ask this info as this stage as it is personal information that is of no practical use to them in assessing your suitability for the role. (data protection act)i think the us has similar legislation but cannot think of the name of the act/bill
