I have heard that you can ring your bank and ask to be refunded all the bank charges from the past year, but you can only do it once a year.is this true?if so and they say on the phone they cannot do it, then where do i stand? are they fobbing me off so they dont have to pay out?i got alot of bank charges early last year and am intrigued as to whether they can be given back to me.

You could claim your charges back for the last 6 years, but the banks have now stopped this as there is a big court case going on over the bank charges and the banks are awaiting the decision as to wether they pay out or not i got mine back last year, i just asked for a copy of all my statements from the last 6 yrs and added up the charges and applied for them back,they offered me 1,160 which i accepted, go on to the "which" site to download template letters.
