Anyone know name of 1970s space car

As well as the robot there were a number of "human" characters, the only one of which i can remember clearly was a black woman who had a long staff as a weapon and could transform into a panther. this was all set in space and i think was a dubbed japanese anime. this has been driving me mad for years, any ideas would be gratefully received. lou x
