I have a xbox 360 which i mainly use to watch downloaded movies and listen to music on, sometimes stored on my external hard drive, sometimes stored on my laptop or pc. i am really interested in the ps3 at the moment due to it having 2 games on it i like the look off and which are not coming out on the xbox360. also i am looking into buying a blu ray player so a ps3 would be a plus. so basically will the ps3 allow me to stream music and videos from my external hard drive or computers to the console so i can watch them on my tv? also how a like are the online gaming services from microsoft and sony?

The consoles are extremely similar throughout at the moment, but as you say there are exclusive games coming out on the ps3 now so more people are brggining to buy the ps3 over the 360 or even as well, services are the same (microsofts is more publicised because of the rrod)the ps3 is a great blu-ray dvd player it out performed ones cosing twice as much, all the games are on blu-ray too allowing for more content (before 360 fanboys mention gta4 the playstation is getting exclusive content too)yes it sreams music, video, pictures from your pc with the added plus of having its own web browser so you can watch videos off the internet on it too.
