I have recently bought a netgear wireless router and set it up on my computer. i have a stand alone and laptop but want the router for my laptop. i have connected the router through my modem and into the back of my stand alone by a cable and it works fine. however, the wireless system doesnt work. the light on the router to show it is operational isnt on and i get no signal.can someone help? i am stuck!!

You can try running the netgear setup cd to configure the router or you can try holding in the reset pin hole (usually on the back) for about 10 seconds and then unplug the router and plug it back in and see if that helps.
