How i add latest issue of finance in my thesis or what is the best area to do thesis in finance or investment

An area that can add real value - arbitrage opportunities in different markets. take the market value of various stocks over various regions and try to justify the differences. if no justification then there is an arbitrage opportunity and one can make real money out of it. here is the way to go - pick 50 stocks or more of big companies, which are listed in many stock exchanges across the world. pick 10 stock exchanges across continents. now check the price of these 50 stocks in those 10 stock exchanges. after taking into forex consideration also these stock prices would be different in different stock markets. why? answer this question in ur thesis. if the u can ratioanlise the difference. good. if there is no good reason then the conclusion comes that there lies an arbitrage opportunities i.e. u buy a stock in one market and sell in another and reap the difference as profit. it is not as simple as it sounds but worth trying. objective of the thesis: does arbitrage opportunties really exists?
