Answer
If you still have the 9000 in your bank accounts then it may well affect your job seekers allowance. they take into account any savings you have on the basis that you should use them to support yourself till you find a job. if you have no money then you should get the normal rate. when you meet with a job centre adviser they will go through it all with you and will be able to tell you how much you will get. you should be able to claim job seekers whilst you are doing your course. tell them that your doing it though. its a course that will improve your chances to find a job so that helps. just let them know that you would be giving up the course if it clashed with a job and you should be ok. i think when you sign on you would have to declare the course. i did voluntary work when i was claiming and i had to declare that.
