How do i improve the graphics on my laptop?

After just asking the question about can i upgrade the graphics card on my laptop, an answer said no because they are part of the motherboard. is there any other way to improve the graphics on my laptop apart from updating drivers?
Answer
The person who said "no because they are part of the motherboard" was correct. i had a customer accuse me of changing the graphics card on a laptop, he even ran up the makers to complain. the gfx card.is normally in the form of a chip on a laptop soldered to the motherboard, so unless you know the schematics of a laptop + a qualified engineer its impossible to do.using the latest drivers may help, also simple things like if theres a lot of clutter on your desktop, the re-draw time is increased.try jogging it at a lower res/colour rate.. also dependant on your motherboard/gfx you can allocate differents amount of system ram to the card via the bios (when the laptop boots) , normally its 64/128mb. try jogging this ..http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaneresp. the issues tab, and backup your registry!.that may things up things slightly.also changing the desktop properties for "perfomance" than "appearance" will gain a extremely slight improvment.
