Have got some blank white canvasses?
And want to create one of those funky abstract type paintings spread over three block canvasses. how do i get the textured affect that you see in the expensive art galleries/shops. should i use oils, or acrylics or what? only painting i have undertaken prior to this is diy stuff so a complete novice. also do i need special brushes or other applicators?
Answer
Not oils.. need to wait months for them to dry... acrylics work fine. there are all kind of things to mix with paint to make sculptured looks, iridescent gloss and grainy designs.. go to hobby lobby and look around at ething in the acrylic section. you will need several size brushes. keep in mind acrylics dry fast so get a medium to mix for longer use. hope this helps.
