My ipod is telling me to use itunes to restore after battery died. will i lose my music on itunes?
I need to resore back to factory settings as my ipod will not play. will i also lose everything stored in itunes libary ?

No. anything that was on your ipod will be replaced with the content of the itunes you sync with. the target itunes always has priority over what is
on the ipod. nothing in your itunes will be lost unless you delete it from itunes or if you have
some kind of malfunction. if losing stuff worries you, always do a backup of your itunes content.
