get the uk kb driver that matches the keys?

get a hash sign at all, the @ key is on the double quote key. also the cd music player keys below the mouse pad dont work at all, how can i
activate them

Try checking the language settings in windows... control panel / regional and language settings, then select the language tab and finally clock on details.
you probably wanna
ensure that in the installed services you have english (united kingdom) and keyboard united kingdom listed.
for the cd music player keys, it looks like you have to install what asus call "instant fun" http://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/asus/nb/a8sc/asus_instantfun_introduction_xp_en_v2.pdf
